Geoffrey Graham - Winner of the Daylesford Slam Heat, VIC

In an earlier blog entry, we heard from the runner up of the Daylesford heat, Nathan Curnow. Now, you can read about the winner, Geoffrey Graham.

Geoffrey is a new-comer at poetry slams, but he is enjoying the challenge. Usually seen performing two hour one-man shows, it’s a far cry to a 2 minute poem at a slam. He specialises in Dinkum Oz Entertainment combining bush poetry, comedy, music and aspects of Australian Heritage including whip-cracking. He performs at conferences, club shows, festivals and schools.
His aim is to inspire audiences in appreciating the humour, depth and historical integrity of our heritage both traditional and contemporary.
Weaving his stories with anecdotes, verse and songs he creates a dynamic package of snapshots of Australian historical humour. He specialises in themed shows that include a 'Banjo' Paterson impersonation called 'The Man from Ironbark', ‘Ratbags and Romantics', '100 Not Out' and 'Rhythm of the Bush’.

Don't forget to check out Geoffrey getting his slam on with the other Victorian finalists at the State Final THIS Friday - 19th November. Go to our heats page for more information.
