Junction Arts Festival slams into Launceston

Launceston today hosted the second of Tasmania's three regional poetry slam heats, with nine poets slamming it out in front of a healthy Northern Club audience. This came on the tail end of the Junction Arts Festival, who hosted a poetry slam for its inaugural event last year and continued the tradition for 2011. Hearty rounds of applause for Val Tinmouth (Heat winner), Tim Thorne (2nd) and Lyndon Riggall (3rd) who have landed themselves a spot in the Tasmanian State Final on Sunday, October 16, 3 pm at the  Northern Club.
