Join the nation-wide search for the people’s poet and a very special night! Saltwater Poetry Slam is so glad to once again host the Central Coast Heat of the Australian Poetry Slam.

Multiple finalists and champions have come from the Central Coast, and we have a suspicion that the next champion is on the coast too! It's almost like there's something in the water.

Are you the next Australian Poetry Slam Champion? All you need is an original poem and two minutes on the mic. If you prefer to shine from the audience, join us to listen, cheer, snap your fingers and hold-up scorecards in this national celebration of spoken-wordsmiths.

Whether you’re performing as a poet or supporting local wordsmiths from the crowd – this is the place to be. A poetry slam is a place for all voices. It’s APS 2025 – The Election Special.
