Step from the herd. Listen and get HEARD! A poetry slam is a place for all voices.

In the lead-up to the Tennant Creek APS Heat Laurie May and Jo Yang will host two dynamic poetry workshops on Wednesday 9 July. This All Ages Poetry Workshop as well as an Under 18s Poetry Workshop.

The workshops will be led by two powerhouse voices in Australian poetry: Jo Yang, the 2022 Australian Poetry Slam Champion, and Laurie May, the Northern Territory Poetry Slam Representative for the national stage. With their expert guidance, these sessions are a unique opportunity to sharpen your skills, find your voice, and connect with others through the art of spoken word.
