ABIGAIL SHERRATT

Originally from North Wales Abigail Sherratt trained as an actor at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and realised that as much as she loved transforming, she always felt more comfortable in her own skin, speaking her own words.  Abigail used this to create her professional debut ‘A note to my 18 year old self’ which was produced by Bomb Factor Theatre for their Summer Festival of New Writing. She fell in love with Perth Slam and her first time competing, happened to be in the heats for the Australian Poetry Slam Nationals which she won, progressing to being runner up in the Perth Finals and joining her fellow poet to represent WA in 2025.

Since then Abigail recently joined the line-up for 2026’s 'Women’s Scream', 'The Dopamine Drop' for Perth Poetry Festival and currently focuses her time on teaching drama and poetry to local children to help them find their voices and express themselves in the way she was afforded.
