MAHA, the daughter of immigrants, is a burgeoning writer and artist who lives and works on the unceded lands of the Kaurna people in South Australia (SA). Her work infuses stream of consciousness, poetry and prose while placing emphasis on the distinct sound of spoken syllables.

Driven to seek community in sharing her innermost thoughts, MAHA was first drawn to spoken word through her older brother and later, her year 12 English teacher. She debuted in her first Adelaide Fringe show, UNABRIDGED this year and won the Unpublished Emerging Writers Category in the mindshare Creative Writing Awards 2025. Her drink of choice: tea. An item of clothing she can’t live without: turtlenecks.
