Matt Tallboy is the stage/pen name of Ian, a retired teacher of Mathematics who lives a luxuriant life in Toowoomba, Queensland. Tallboy is almost Ian’s alter-ego. He loves words. Long and short, words with two meanings, too.
Tallboy has performed longer-form poetry in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Dublin to raptures of audience approval. 2026 Slam is Tallboy’s first effort at shorter, slam poetry. Matt Tallboy has two books published. “Tallb Stories” and “Shore Love”.
