Originally from a small town in North Wales Abigail decided to trade in the sheep for the city to study at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. It was here she realised that people were starting to take note of the self deprecating stories of nights out, bad dates and struggles of feeling out of place in a city of suits and ties. From here Abigail found her feet in the flows of poetry and had her first piece ‘A Note To My 18 Year Old Self’ produced and performed at ‘Bomb Factory Theatre’s Summer Festival of New Writing’.

When arriving in Australia Abi fell in love with the Perth but found it hard finding her theatrical crowd again, until she stumbled upon Perth Slam. On a whim and a pint, she competed for this first time in this year’s heats. Abigail has travelled the world performing from the O2 in London to Lebanon but has never felt more at home than in Australia and is so grateful for this new found community where she can rant and rave to her hearts content.
