ANNETTE BROOKS

Annette Brooks studied English Literature at UNSW, worked in film and advertising, then taught English and Drama in NSW state schools. She lives on the South Coast NSW and teaches part-time at Ulladulla High. Annette has written plays, stories, poems and articles, many for the benefit of her students. The extra time and solitude she craved for her writing was an unexpected gift after overcoming stage 4 breast cancer in 2024. She believes in the power of poetry to speak straight to the heart.
