EILEEN RAFTER

Eileen Rafter is a mother, doctor and poet living in Cairns. Poetry has become a way to process the painful stories she sometimes hears as a GP. As the world seems to become more unkind, poetry is, to quote Dylan Thomas, Eileen’s “rage, rage against the dying of the light”.
