This year Word Travels is not just asking for your stories. We want to amplify your activities. Are you running a poetry slam, a storytelling event, a literary diamond in the vast quarry of Australian venues? We want to celebrate your wild (or tame) gathering in a national calendar during Story Week: 9–25 October 2026.

– Story Week acts as an extra online megaphone for free, an aggregate point for all the story and poe-arty nodes across the nation. You’ll see events produced by Word Travels and by communities internationally and around the country in our new Story Week Amplifies platform.
